Tone It Up Stairs Workout - DONE!

This morning, I woke up and headed down to the beach where I knew there was a great set of stairs to try out this awesome workout by Karena & Katrina - The Tone It Up Girls!  Their site is super-inspiring, positive and informative...Here is the video link of Katrina completing the circuit! I'll post a shorter, edited version of me doing each section, since there's probably no need for you to watch a workout like this in its entirety - it is great to get a visual of the moves (if needed) and I always love watching to see what they are wearing!

They made a pdf available below their YouTube link that you can print out and take with you! Bring a pencil to quickly jot down how long one circuit takes you - write the date next to it to track your time.  I used the stopwatch clock feature on my iPhone.  I know you'll do this one again and I think you'll be impressed on how you better your time as you become more fit!

The Tone It Up Girls Fat Blasting Stairs Workout

Here are my results from today's session! A video post of my next one will be uploaded soon!

The only change I made was that I had 60 stairs instead of Katrina's 50 and a short 100 yard walk/jog to the sand for the seated crunches and tricep dips, so that increased how long it took me to finish one circuit. The burpees were TOUGH for me to do then run up the stairs again - jello legs. Those should get a bit easier as I drop some lbs. I did 2 circuits taking me about 30 minutes total.

My imprint in the sand when I was done made me laugh!  enjoy *

1 Circuit = 16:41

What I'm wearing at the beach today:

Lululemon Crop Pants
Lululemon Scoop Neck Tank
Gap Body Fit Zipper Jacket
Nike "Zoom" Triax Running Shoes

Try out this warming seasonal coffee recipe I treated myself to post-workout!  You'll love it!

French Press
AeroLatte Frother
TruWhip

Yum!

I made Jamie's Eason's Pumpkin Protein Bars today! I have been diligently trying to eat every 2-3 hours each day and was on the hunt for some quick grab & go snacks. Not a big fan of packaged bars and constantly sifting through the shelves for some without hydrogenated fats, I decided to take things into my own hands and head to the kitchen! These were delish, moist and quick!  So simple to toss 1 or 2 in a ziploc bag and hop in the car! The whole house smelled insane, too.  Let me know if you try this recipe!

My only departure from Jamie's recipe was that I couldn't find the Xylitol Brown Sugar Blend at the health food store I was in, so I created my own blend of Stevia, Xylitol, natural molasses sugar and a bit of organic brown sugar which all added up to the same 1/2 cup measurement. Check out the great calorie total per bar ( I'm eating 2 per snack) and tell me you won't love this winter morning protein treat! Wait till you taste my next post about a great coffee drink I made - perfect for the holidays!  enjoy*
